“Utility” and “sports” have always been key words for Japan’s nanamica and the renowned label’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection continues that tradition. An apt followup to its Spring/Summer 2017 drop, the upcoming “Heavy Duty Ivy” release is billed as “presenting a style that exhibits high performance for the elegant and sophisticated lifestyles of creators working in the city.” The result is the perfect blend of military and classic outdoor influences with the functionality of sportswear, all in autumnal hues with a dash of avant-garde sensibility. Standouts include the likes of a flight jacket executed in ultra lightweight KODENSHI down-filled 20D WINDSTOPPER, a thermal water-repellant suit, and wool-pile sweats.

Expect the Fall/Winter 2017 “Heavy Duty Ivy” collection to be available in the months ahead at nanamica flagships and the Japanese label’s own web store.
