Winners Announced For LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers 2017
Fresh designers receive some recognition.
French designer, Marine Serre of MARINE SERRE was just chosen as the recipient of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers for 2017. Delphine Arnault reveals that Serre impressed the jury through the way she “cleverly combines urban, sportswear and oriental inspirations, creating through these confrontations a unique aesthetic.” Kozaburo Akasaka of KOZABURO was picked as the recipient of the special prize for his delicate deconstruction of menswear. While Serre takes home a 300,000 euro grant and Akasaka receives a 150,000 euro grant, the two will partake in a year-long mentorship program from the LVMH group.
