Junya Watanabe Delivers Paint Splattered Workwear for 2018 Spring/Summer Collection
Featuring the latest Carhartt WIP collaboration.

For his 2018 spring/summer show in Paris, Junya Watanabe focused on the idea of workwear and how it should be worn. To accomplish this, the Japanese designer and COMME des GARÇONS protege once again partnered with workwear icon Carhartt WIP on a wide ranging collaboration that included jackets, coats, trousers and T-shirts. As well as featuring the Carhartt collab, the collection also included the latest stage of Watanabe’s ongoing work with The North Face as well as two coats made from deconstructed bags with British sports equipment brand Karrimor and customized shirting with leading shirtmakers Turnbull & Asser. The collection also included some of Watanabe’s trademarks, such as patchwork denims and reworked tailoring while the paint splattering used throughout makes some of the pieces stand out even further.
