Artist Iván Navarro's 'Impenetrable Room' Installation Is Super TrippyOn view at the Masterpiece art fair in London.
Iván Navarro excels in creating mind-bending installations that utilize mirrors and neon lights. The Santiago, Chile-born artist’s latest work called Impenetrable Room is the highlight of Masterpiece—an art fair in Chelsea, London that showcases the latest in contemporary art, design, and antiquities. The installation is made up of six shipping containers fitted with undulating neon tubing and mirrors to exude a trippy, “infinity” effect. “I think of this almost as a fourth dimension, that is reflection or fiction,” Navarro told Wallpaper*. “It was important to achieve this connection between illusion and the real space.”
Impenetrable Room is currently open to the public up until July 5. Take a look at the visuals above and head over to Masterpiece’s official website to learn more.
