This Numberless, Color-Changing Clock Is Perfect for True Minimalists
The clock’s color depends on the time of day.
With no numbers or digits on its face, Yicong Lu‘s concept for the “Time of the Day” clock is a minimalist’s dream. The clock features three hands that inside of the face, all covered with a black border and a black stand that keeps it upright. While its design is truly simple, its functionality is what takes the clock over the top.
The clock is designed to change color throughout the day, having a clear face in the morning and gradually getting darker and darker as the day progresses, ending with a completely blacked-out look at during the night. The hands of the clock are painted white with black tips, allowing for them to be visible regardless of what color the clock’s face is.
