Ford Sends the Focus RS off With a Bang
Limited to just 1,500 models in North America.

2018 marks the last model year for the Focus RS and Ford is sending it off with a bang, unveiling the new limited edition take on the fan-favorite. Taking cues from enthusiasts, Ford has employed a number of upgrades as standard on the new vehicle. Joining the usual 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine — capable of 350 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque — are the likes of a mechanical Quaife limited slip differential for the front axle and equipment from the current RS2 package, including voice-controlled navigation, Recaro seats, seat warmers, and a heated steering wheel. Glossy black finishes have also been added to the roof, mirror caps, and rear spoiler while heated side mirrors and carbon fiber accents are joined by 19-inch premium painted forged alloy wheels — complete with blue “RS”-branded center caps. Ford has even thrown a new color into the mix, adding a “Race Red” option along with the vehicle’s signature “Nitrous Blue.”
The 2018 Focus RS will be limited to just 1,500 production models in North America — 1,000 for the United States and 500 for Canada — and will be available to order later this summer with deliveries slated for the latter part of 2017.
