You Can Now Watch Your Favorite Shows Live on YouTube TV
The subscription service is offered only in NYC, LA, CHI, PHL, and SF Bay Area for now.
YouTube enters into the television market today by offering over 50 broadcast TV channels to watch live. As Google made the official announcement in February, the video-sharing site now combines live stream channels and cable networks such as AMC Networks, ESPN, FX, IFC and more, for $35 USD a month. This would compete with Direct TV’s most basic package starting at $50 USD, but with 150+ channels. Although this is a major game changer for Google, the subscription service is offered only in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and San Francisco Bay Area for the time being.
There is a 30-day free trial to demo YouTube TV, available now.
