Watch the Full 'Star Wars Battlefront II' Reveal Trailer
A plot twist featuring a new character is unveiled.
After receiving a glimpse of the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II earlier this week via a leaked teaser, EA has unveiled the full-length reveal trailer. One of the twists is that players will assume the role of a soldier in the Imperial navy, rather than a Jedi or part of the Rebel Alliance. “We settled on this idea of telling a story from the Imperial perspective. The idea of special forces soldiers gave us this chance to become a new hero,” Mark Thompson, game director at EA’s Motive Studios mentioned during a preview event. Centered around a female stormtrooper named Iden Versio, commander of the elite Inferno Squad, players will be able to encounter various characters from the franchise’s expansive 30-year history, while also taking on roles of other fan favorites like Kylo Ren and Luke Skywalker.
