Watch How Samsung's Galaxy S8 Battery May Be the Safest Yet
See how it fares under extreme conditions.
Samsung has a lot to make up for after countless instances of its Galaxy Note7 exploding, and the new Galaxy S8 smartphone is set to reestablish the multinational conglomerate’s standing.
In January, Samsung announced its “8-point battery safety check” which puts all of its phone batteries through extreme testing as well as x-ray and human inspection checks. To put the final product to test, the people behind YouTube channel What’s Inside and JerryRigEverything put out a video proving that the Galaxy S8 battery won’t explode or catch on fire under extreme conditions, such as being stabbed by a knife, ripping the glass back off, taking a power tool to the front and even cutting through the phone at where the battery is located.
