Sharing “an affinity for diversity, family and freedom, an appreciation for nonconformity, curiosity and color and an integral relationship with the artisanal,” Pigalle and Missoni present their collaborative capsule collection for Spring 2017. Fusing Pigalle founder Stephane Ashpool’s refined take on the ’90s hip-hop culture of his youth with Missoni’s heritage and knitwear expertise, the co-branded endeavor once again takes on a favorite Ashpool subject: basketball. Here, archival fabrics from between 1985 and 2010 are reworked in beige/yellow and blue/purple color variants and applied to everything from varsity bombers and pima cotton robes to track pants, jersey sweatshirts and tees. The bomber and robe even come lined in technical nylon sport mesh as a nod to prototypical basketball jerseys while the tees feature laser-cut logos from space-dyed Missoni fabrics.

Expect the full range to be available exclusively from colette, Dover Street Market Ginza and Pigalle stores later this month.
