Instagram's Latest Update Sets Its Sights on Yet Another Social Media Platform
Watch out, Pinterest.
Instagram is taking a short break from its seemingly endless war against Snapchat to set its sights on another social media platform: Pinterest. Taking on the Ben Silbermann-led photo sharing platform, Instagram’s latest update builds on the existing ability to save posts and allows users to create collections for their saves. Users can simply tap and hold on the bookmark icon underneath any post to save it directly to their collection, adding it to a new group or an existing one. The collections all appear under the saved posts tab and, like all saved posts, are 100% private.
The update is available now for both iOS and Android as a part of Instagram version 10.16.
