Gorillaz Drop One More 'Humanz' Single, "The Apprentice"
Their first LP in seven years will arrive this week.
Just a few days before the release of the first new Gorillaz album in seven years, one more record from the project has surfaced. Following up ZHU’s eerie rework of “Andromeda,” the Damon Albarn-guided act has dropped off a new single titled “The Apprentice.” Today’s track features the trio of Rag’n'Bone Man, Zebra Katz and RAY BLK, and comes to us following the release of the Pusha T-assisted “Let Me Out” and the history-making “Saturnz Barz.” In between the flood of new songs, remixes, apps and other items related to Humanz, fans should have a pretty good idea of what to expect when April 28 rolls around.
You can stream “The Apprentice” above. Last week, Gorillaz made headlines for taking part in their first-ever “on-camera” interview.
