A Look at the New and Improved Google Earth
The virtual globe gets a facelift.
Google Earth has been given a major overhaul on Chrome as the tech giant has rolled out a massively revamped take on its virtual globe. Users can now fly through cities around the world in stunning 3D while the new Voyager feature offers interactive stories from the likes of the BBC and NASA. There are also now Knowledge Cards to educate users on local landmarks and Postcards offers the ability to capture snapshots of locations and easily share them with friends. The old “I’m Feeling Lucky” search option has even been brought to the desktop site.
