Hot off the heels of its partnership with Dr. Martens, Engineered Garments gives us a peek at its next collaborative shoe. Teaming up with Berlin brand Trippen, E.G. gives the new “Border” silhouette its recognizable mismatched design. An updated version of a classic Derby model, the shoes are crafted with supple Elk leather, available in black or navy colorways. Prioritizing comfort, the wide fit gives extra room, while the insoles are designed to conform to the wearer’s foot over time.

Founded in 1991 by Angela Spieth and Michael Oehler, Trippen has been known to handle design and production for world-famous designers including Yohji Yamamoto. The relatively low-key company designs footwear with interchangeable parts, in an aim to encourage sustainability and social responsibility. The E.G x Trippen “Border” shoes will be available at Nepenthes New York on April 10.
