The World's Fastest Bumper Car Hits Three-Digit Speeds

Earlier this week, Top Gear’s Colin Furze was beyond enthusiastic to report that he had created a bumper car with 100 horsepower on tap. Produced for the Top Gear character The Stig, the “600cc monster” is world’s fastest bumper car. “It’s finished and it’s FAST … so fast its the worlds fastest as approved by Guinness World Records,” reads the official description of Furze’s world’s fastest bumper car vignette. Capable of smashing three-figure speeds, the aforementioned speed demon appears to be as fast as a bumper car can get without transforming into a “death trap. Considering the recognition by Guinness World Records, maybe we’ll see an “arms race” of sorts between bumper car manufacturers.
