This Hidden Pavilion in Spain Is a Glass Fortress of Solitude
Habitual stone throwers need not apply.
Nestled in the woods on the edge of Madrid’s rural stands Penelas Architect Studios‘ recent project, The Hidden Pavilion, a two-storey home built entirely of glass apart from a red steel beam support. The intention, according to the designers, is to create a space that offers an unrivaled view of the surrounding countryside as well as being a calm, peaceful place that allows for meditation and reflection. And if the idea of a life without curtains unsettles you, a lack of privacy shouldn’t be an issue thanks to its remote location and dense forest surrounds.
