Rimac's Upgraded Concept_One Now Boasts 1,224 Horsepower
Rimac is finally bringing its high-powered electric vehicle to more markets.
Originally unveiled way back in 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Rimac‘s Concept_One finally debuted in production form last year and now the Croatian hypercar is back and better than ever. Showcased in Geneva in upgraded form, the latest version of the automobile now incorporates a 90-kWh battery and churns out a whopping 1,224 horsepower — a marked improvement over the 1,088 horsepower of the old 82-kWh pack. The result is an all-around faster vehicle and one that can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 2.6 seconds and to 124 mph and 186 mph in 6 and 14 seconds flat before topping out at 220 mph. The new battery should last a little bit longer, too, with a range of up to 217 miles.
Best of all, though? The Concept_One (which was originally limited to just eight units) is finally coming to more markets — including the United States.
