After having been crowned Harvard’s humanitarian of the year, Rihanna showed her penchant for academia in other ways — most notably, via her recent FENTY x PUMA Fall/Winter 2017 runway show at Paris Fashion Week. For this season, Rihanna showed at The National Library of France, a fitting location for her collegiate-inspired line titled “Fenty University.” Long university hall desks lit by green reading lamps substituted as a catwalk, upon which models — hardcover books in hand and all– marched down in hearty plaids, frat-star track suits and Hogwarts-esque school patches and scarves. High-octane colors such as yellow, green and orange were paired with traditional school colors like oxblood and navy, while a heavy dose of velour and satin was mixed in with nylon puffers and jerseys. Hockey garments with varsity patches, Goths and Rihanna’s favored lilac purple color all made an appearance towards the end of the fashion “detention.” Take a look at all of the men’s looks from the show above and share your thoughts below.
