Netflix and Univision are teaming up for the first time to produce an original series called El Chapo. The incoming show will delve into the life of the world’s most wanted drug kingpin, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán. More specifically, it will chronicle Guzmán’s road to ruin spanning approximately three decades, “from 1985 when he was a low-level member of the Guadalajara Cartel, his rise to power, and his ultimate downfall,” Variety reported. Actor Marco de la O will be helming the role of the notorious criminal.
