DJ Premier & Pete Rock Collide for Legendary Beat Battle

Two of the east coast music scene and hip-hop’s greatest legends collided for a recent beat battle. Performing side-by-side at a show at Miami’s Sidebar venue, DJ Premier and Pete Rock served up a live war of sound for a packed crowd. For those who consider themselves genre “purists,” this is the stuff that rap dreams are made of. Along with these two icons, Talib Kweli also made an appearance to perform his hit-single “Get By” and Pete Rock joined DJ Premier for a live rendition of “The Creator.” Previously, this pairing has connected for similar showcases in Tokyo and other cities.
