Barcelona Made Champions League History With Huge Comeback Win Over PSG
A complete shocker.
Barcelona fans thought their chances to advance into the quarter finals of the Champions League was futile, considering the team’s humiliating 4-0 defeat against Paris St-Germain in the first match of the last-16 round just last month. But thanks to the powerhouse that is MSN — Messi, Suarez and Neymar Jr. — Barça was able to overcome and make history.
The Spanish champions were down 5-3 on aggregate in the 88th minute, but scored three goals in the final seven minutes in one of the greatest European ties of all time. It was Neymar’s free-kick and penalty followed by Sergi Roberto’s 95th-minute winner that sealed the victory at the Nou Camp. With that, Barcelona avoid exiting the Champions League before the quarterfinals for the first time since 2007. On the other hand, Paris St-Germain see their run of consecutive last-eight appearances come to an end.
