Clothes, Celebrities and Kicks: What Went Down At The YEEZY SEASON 5 Show
Kim Kardashian West, Calabasas gear, and spotting a “Triple Black” adidas Originals YEEZY Runner.

Kanye West’s YEEZY SEASON 5 presentation overshadowed all the other NYFW shows that were going on today. Anticipation was at maximum levels since there weren’t many hints about what was supposed to go down. Additionally, invites were sent last minute, but the public already knew that the show would take place at NYC’s Pier 59 and start at 3 p.m. The difference as told by invited guests was that ‘Ye actually started somewhat on time — the big reveal began at 3:25 p.m.
HYPEBEAST was in attendance and we did a full livestream of the showcase on Facebook, which you can watch here (there was no TIDAL livestream this time around). Additionally, there was a strictly no professional photography policy at the event during the show, but guests were still allowed to use their phone for social media purposes. Photography was limited to just the outside areas of the space and we were able to do some streetsnap coverage, which you can watch out for in the following days.
Since there were so many attendees, everyone present was ready to get as much content they could on social media. In turn, this gives us a better glimpse of the vibe and setting through the eyes of various tastemakers and celebrities. We can also witness and read reactions from different guests about their thoughts on the overall presentation, but more importantly, how the clothes looked. Check out a breakdown of some of the noteworthy moments from YEEZY SEASON 5:

J Holiday’s “Bed” Sung By The Dream Was the Main Soundtrack of the Show
“Bed” by J Holiday was a certified R&B hit when it came out in 2007. ‘Ye wanted to make the mood a bit more intimate with this song as it’s definitely considered to be love-making music. What many may not know is that The Dream wrote the song for J Holiday, the version that played is The Dream’s vocals.
The Show Presented Models Spinning Onto a Video Screen
Mr. West was a bit less theatrical in his choice of medium, but utilizing the screen to fully show his creations worked well as it gave viewers time to really inspect the intricacies of the collection.
Calabasas and adidas Originals YEEZY Runners Make Their Appearance
The much-anticipated Calabasas track garments and Runner sneakers have finally made their way to the runway, signifying what most have already speculated — more fire pieces and kicks from ‘Ye. Expect a “Triple Black” colorway for the runners as well.
