Year after year the VFILES show during NYFW serves as a start to the festivities, offering a snapshot of present pop-culture through the mixing of fashion and music. The latest VFILES NYFW event expanded on the retailer’s role of kicking off fashion week with a two-show spectacle that brought fashion’s youngest talents and the hottest acts in music together. The two-hour long live-streamed pre-show featured performances from Zara Larsson, Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert, Cardi B, and Lion Babe, followed by VFILES Designer 8 runway show. The runway displayed looks from winning designers Danielle Cathari, Strateas Carlucci and Snow Xue Gao. It also featured models and creative talents all found on vfiles.com, the social networking website and app. Additionally, the runway show started with a performance from Joey Purp while Brenmar DJ’ed, and 21 Savage closed the show with another performance.
