Nike has came a long way from using actual waffle makers to form the original outsoles of their running sneakers. Now in 2017, we’ve seen technology used by the Swoosh such as Air Max units, Zoom Air, Flywire, Flyknit and much more. This time around Nike hops into the time machine to drop today’s edition of the historic waffle racer silhouette. Its black nylon upper is complemented by a large leather Swoosh in addition to a white leather heel tab. You’ll also find suede overlays around the toe box and lacing which is finished off with the classic rubber waffle outsole in nostalgic gum coloring.
The Nike Waffle Racer ‘17 is currently available at select retailers such as KITH for a retail price of $90 USD.
