As tennis sneakers made a seamless transition from court to street, New Balance re-released its 1979 CRT300 from the archives. The shoe got a modern redesign, replacing the polyurethane midsole and rubber outsole with REVlite tech, a lighter more breathable option to take to the city. Mesh on the upper keeps things sporty and airy, while hits of suede attribute to the shoe’s overall luxe-retro feel. Completing the look, are color accents across the heel and tongue branding in New Balance’s heritage options — white, black, red or green.
