Freddie Gibbs & BJ The Chicago Kid Reconnect Over iLL Brown's "Friends"
That classic sound.
After taking some time to overcome some legal obstacles, Freddie Gibbs stands to have a successful 2017. After revealing plans to link up with past collaborator Curren$y for an entire project, the Gary rapper reconnects with BJ The Chicago Kid for a new collaborative cut with fellow Midwesterner iLL Brown and Gibbs associate G-Wiz. Dubbed “Friends,” the song references the Whodini track of the same name and finds its star emcee spitting from the heart. Besides this single, iLL Brown also plans to drop a new EP titled Don’t Forget The Dope in fall of this year.
