Chari & Co. Collaborates With G-SHOCK on an Essential Timepiece for the Urban Cyclist
The GA-500K also releases alongside a cycling pack of apparel.
New York urban bike boutique Chari & Co. has collaborated with Japanese watchmaker Casio on a new G-SHOCK timepiece this winter season. The GA-500K silhouette utilizes a two-tone colorway of olive and black and mimics the design of the tri-tube structure of a racing bike, which dictates its strength and rigidity that can dramatically determine the speed and record set by the cyclist. The watch face features both digital and analog timekeeping along with a large front button at the 6 o’clock position for easy one-press stopwatch operation. Subtle dual branding, a matching asymmetrical watch band and near-indestructible quality all help secure this collaboration in the history books for both Chari & Co. and G-SHOCK.
Alongside the partnered watch, Chari & Co. made available apparel to coincide with the design scheme and colorways of the G-SHOCK. Included in the set is a full one-piece racing suit, T-shirt, cap and sunglasses, all in matching olive/black with orange accents and Chari & Co. exclusive branding. The GA-500K collaboration watch will retail for $190 USD and is available on Thursday, February 9 at the Chari & Co. NYC storefront, the G-SHOCK SoHo Flagship Store and shopcasio.com. A special launch party will also take place on February 9 from 8-11 p.m. EST.
