A Closer Look at the 2017 Nike Waffle Racer Premium
40 years on.

First debuted in 1977, Nike’s Waffle Racer was one of the then-fledgling sportswear label’s first breakthrough innovations, thanks to a waffle iron-inspired rubber outsole that gave it unparalleled traction on the running track. In honor of the 40 years since its release, the Swoosh re-releases the Waffle Racer in an Action Green and black nylon and suede upper. Rainbow-hued hits are evident on the tongue label and on the insole graphic. Released as part of Nike Sportswear’s Rainbow Pack, the Waffle Racer is now available at Rock City Kicks for $100 USD.
