Jorja Smith Performs "Teenage Fantasy" Live at the BRIT Awards Critics' Choice Session
Capping off a breakout year.
It’s been a breakout year for U.K. singer Jorja Smith, that’s seen her tour with Drake, play at Camp Flog Gnaw, announce a U.S. tour, and most recently — win the BRIT Awards Critics’ Choice. In preparation for the awards, the Walsall native produced a stunning live performance of her hit track “Teenage Fantasy” at the famous Abbey Road Studios, which you can watch above.
The Critics’ Choice award, voted for by influential figures in the music industry, goes to the British artist that is expected to “highlight and identify future Brtish recording talent.” Its previous winners include the likes of Adele, Sam Smith, and 2017’s winner, Rag’N'Bone Man. The 20-year-old neo-soul songstress, who beat fellow female artists Stefflon Don and Mabel to this year’s award stated, “it’s been an unforgettable 2017 during which I’ve fulfilled so many of my dreams.” Definitely, one to keep an eye on over the next 12 months.
