Acne Studios Reveals Its Take on the Sock Sneaker
A high top version of its eye catching runner.
After releasing a string of new footwear silhouettes over the course of the summer — including the Jimmy and Joriko sneakers, the chunky Sofiane silhouette and even a pair of rollerskates — Swedish label Acne Studios has revealed its own version of the sock sneaker.
Named the “Tristan,” the sneaker is a high top version of one that released back in April. The shoe features a sock-like upper which sits on top of a rubber sole and is not unlike Balenciaga’s Speed Trainer silhouette. There are two different colorways of each sneaker, with either a navy/white or all-black version available. Both colorways are then finished with subtle Acne branding on the heel. Along with releasing the new high-top sneakers, Acne has also dropped a new navy/white and white version of the low top silhouette.
The “Tristan” sneakers are available now from the Acne Studio’s web store, with a pair priced at €450 EUR (approx. $530 USD). As well as releasing the new footwear, Acne has recently dropped its Spring/Summer 2018 menswear collection.
