Final Trailer for 'The Shape of Water' Highlights Guillermo Del Toro's Newest Monster

Fox has released the last trailer for director Guillermo Del Toro‘s upcoming fantasy, The Shape of Water. Taking place in Cold War era 1962’s America, the story follows a lonely mute by the name of Eliza (Sally Hawkins) who stumbles upon a government secret with her co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer).
The government experiment is a mysterious fish man (Doug Jones) and when the two women try to free it, they are chased down and interrogated by a government official played by Michael Shannon. Written by del Toro and Vanessa Taylor, the trailer above showcases a lot of the plot, giving form of what to expect of this fairy tale once it debuts in theaters December 8.
