RM Sotheby's Is Auctioning a Stunning 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series Roadster 1
All-black everything.

The Jaguar E-Type, that made its debut in 3.8-litre form back in 1961, is a sensational classic car with smooth lines, a sleek body, 265 bhp and a highly impressive — for its time — top speed of 150 mph. Sir William Lyons with the help of Malcolm Sayer and Willam Heynes truly created one of Jaguar’s most beautiful and timeless cars. The Series 1 Roadster, pictured above and up for auction, includes all the additions of the E-Type’s first evolution — a 4.2-litre engine, a fully synchronized gearbox, and more legroom to accommodate for taller drivers. This particular car comes in brilliant condition despite having clocked in just under 15,000 miles and boasts a clean triple black color scheme. A full concours-level restoration was also performed by Jaguar specialist Shaun Saunders to ensure the car is in peak condition.
While the bidding starts at a hefty $250,000 USD, this E-Type is often regarded as the ultimate Jaguar experience and provides a driving sensation that is nigh impossible to replicate in any other classic car.
If cars are your thing then don’t forget to watch the Koenigsegg crush the top speed record for production cars.
