Nike Air Max 97 x Air Max 1 Hybrid Release Canceled in Richmond, VA
Sean Wotherspoon’s hometown showed too much love.

According to AP, the highly anticipated drop for the Sean Wotherspoon-designed Nike Air Max 97 x Air Max 1 Hybrid has been cancelled at Need Supply Co. in Richmond, Virginia today.
The store had to call the police for help as the line grew out of control and had nearly 500 rowdy people by 2:30 a.m. earlier today. Wotherspoon was scheduled to be at the event and UNDEFEATED in Los Angeles is the only other location set to release the sneakers today before a larger global release in March 2018. The retail store told AP it will set a new release date via its social media channels.
Need Supply Co. made our list of 25 best sites for streetwear shopping earlier this year. In related news, Nike issued a statement in regards to its SNKRS app malfunctions that prevented people from purchasing “The Ten” yesterday. Do you think that the apology was sincere? Is there too much demand and purposely a limited stock to continue driving this demand? Chime in below.
