When he’s not shredding for Palace Skateboards or designing new wares for Thames London, Blondey McCoy is perhaps creating photomontages and other diverse artwork in his spare time. The British multi-creative has flaunted his artistic abilities on three hand-painted murals in New York exclusively for Burberry.
The collaboration marks McCoy’s largest work to date with approximately 15-foot, 17-foot, and 80-foot murals located in the Flatiron and Soho neighborhoods of Manhattan. Collectively, the pieces draw inspiration from the holiday season, spotlighting an eclectic mix of antiques and other intimate objects hand-picked by the 20-year-old talent.
“Over the last couple of years, I have been collecting antiques and objects, some more sentimental than others, and incorporating these into my works,” said McCoy in a statement. “These new murals are a composition, a curation of some of these objects that sit aside references to Burberry and British culture.”
