Having announced their first collaboration for almost a decade last month, Japanese brands BAPE and WTAPS have now revealed all of the pieces in the joint capsule. The collection is heavily influenced by military aesthetics, with army cuts and versions of BAPE’s camouflage print featuring prominently throughout the capsule.
The collection features two jackets — a military overshirt and a black/BAPE camouflage print coat — as well as a hoodie, cargo pants, track pants, and a T-shirt. There are two different camos used in the capsule, with one often placed on top of the other to give a contrasting effect.
BAPE’s collaboration with WTAPS will launch at an exclusive pop-up in the Shinjuku Isetan department store from November 15 until November 28. The capsule will then release at retailers including Dover Street Market Ginza on December 2. As well as collaborating with WTAPS, BAPE has also recently released a new COLOR CAMO capsule.
