Stüssy‘s Holiday 2017 Collection aims to “examine global subcultures through a California lens.” The new looks are all about finding harmony in aspects of life that would on the surface appear at odds with themselves — understanding that beauty can exist in contrast.
Classic outerwear items such as duffer jackets and flight jackets appear in the usual fall tones but beneath that level, the base layers are popping off with vivid colors and imagery. Tie-dye logos, mushroom print designs, and poppy covered denim are just a few of the highlights of Stüssy’s winter extravaganza. The Holiday 2017 Collection plays on the techniques of printing, dying and embroidery to create a capsule that reminds buyers that while Stüssy is often known and worn in urban environments the brand is constantly taking inspiration from the natural world.
