The 'Star Wars' Han Solo Film Name Has Finally Been Announced
The next stand-alone ‘Star Wars’ film has wrapped production.

The next standalone Star Wars film has just been named and it’s called Solo: A Star Wars Story. Director Ron Howard took to Twitter this morning to announce the name via video. He also revealed that they just wrapped production on the movie. The movie follows the scruffy nerf herder Han in his early days as a smuggler (played by Alden Ehrenreich) and his early adventures with Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian (played by Donald Glover) before he joined the Rebellion.
Howard took the reigns as director in August after the film’s original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired for clashing with Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy and co-writer/executive producer Lawrence Kasdan.
