Shake Shack Is Opening a Cashless Kiosk Location in NYC
Shake Shack buzzers are now obsolete.
Shake Shack is opening its first-ever cashless location in New York City later this month. Customers at the upcoming East Village location will place orders via their phone or at a kiosk and receive a text message once their food is ready for pickup.
Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti has stated this will serves as a test to see if the application can be applied in other restaurants. During the beginning of the year, Sweetgreen transitioned to only accepting payments via app or credit card to cut service time, theft and robbery.
