In an effort to create and distribute high-tech, customizable music gadgets.

Modular instrument business Roli has revealed that Pharrell Williams is becoming its chief creative officer and will take co-ownership of the London-based startup. The exact terms between their partnership has yet to be disclosed, but the rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and film producer will develop accessible, ”revolutionary” and “iconic” digital instruments.
Roli is currently known for its Roli Blocks modular music studio and the Seaboard Block, a keyboard-like device.
