Patta Takes on the GEL-MAI For Latest ASICS Tiger Collaboration
Coming in “Rose Cloud” and dark brown.
After releasing a burgundy and birch GEL-Lyte III and a “Ginger Honey/Dark Purple” GEL-Lyte earlier this year, Dutch label Patta has taken on another silhouette for its next ASICS collaboration. The GEL-Mai sneaker, which was originally launched in the 1990s as a trail model, has been reworked by Patta in a new dark brown and “Rose Cloud” colorway.
The sneaker features an asymmetrical lacing system and comes with ASICS fuzegel technology for maximum comfort. Other features of the collaborative shoe include a dark brown premium nubuck overlay, a “Rose Cloud” colored knitted sock-like upper which features Patta’s Script Logo interwoven throughout, and 3M reflective accents on the webbing. Every pair will come with additional laces in the two colors that feature on the upper.
The ASICS TIGER x Patta GEL-Mai Knit is set to drop at Patta’s stores in Amsterdam and London on October 14, before making its way to the web store two days later and — finally — getting a worldwide release on November 4. As well as collaborating with ASICS, Patta has also recently launched joint pieces with Mitchell & Ness and Stüssy.
