FILA Unveils Fall-Ready Suede Version of Trailblazer Silhouette
Hiking wear meets rave culture.
FILA‘s Trailblazer silhouette is one of the brand’s most iconic, with the chunky sneaker now getting a new fall-ready iteration. The shoe was initially designed as a hiking and trekking shoe in the ’80s — which is referenced in the mountain logo on the tongue — before being adopted by UK rave culture in the 1990s.
For the latest drop, FILA has wrapped the shoe’s upper in premium suede, which sits atop its chunky EVA outsole whilst the outsole and lace hooks both reference the shoe’s history as a performance hiking shoe. The sneaker is dropping in three colorways, with “Jet Black,” “Honey Mustard Yellow” and “Pompeian Red” options all available.
You can watch the video that FILA has produced to mark the release below, and the shoe is set to drop at select retailers including London’s Goodhood on October 6, with retail set at £100 GBP (approx. $135 USD).
