Chris Hemsworth Takes the Leading Role in '12 Strong' Trailer

Based on Doug Stanton’s Horse Soldiers, 12 Strong is an upcoming film based on events in Afghanistan immediately following the events of 9/11. Chris Hemsworth and Michael Shannon take the starring roles.
The movie boasts a well-rounded cast that also includes Michael Peña and Rob Riggle. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, it focuses on a group of CIA paramilitary officers and U.S. Special Forces operatives who ride horses into combat to take on the Taliban. 12 Strong marks Nicolai Fuglsig’s major directorial debut, as he focused mostly on advertisements prior to helming this project.
