Stutterheim 2017 Spring/Summer Collection Straddles the Line Between Form and Function

Drawing inspiration from cult films ‘Dune’ and ‘Blade Runner.’

Proving once again of its stylistic reach far beyond just the signature Stockholm raincoat, Swedish luxury label Stutterheim look ahead to the upcoming spring/summer season with brand new styles to showcase. Looking to cult flicks Dune and Blade Runner for some artistic inspiration, the collection plays into a harmonic color palette to that of a desert landscape as portrayed in Dune, while incorporating deep accents of purple and black reminiscent of Blade Runner. Under the watchful eye of design head Patric Wallertz, two brand new materials were designed — a lighter weight version of the iconic Stutterheim Rubberized Cotton and a lightweight waterproof and breathable Coated Cotton. Offering exceptional rain protection while still able to cope with seasonal climate changes, Stutterheim’s 2017 Spring/Summer collection is one that comfortably straddles the line between form and function. The collection will be available online as of January 24.
