For 2017 fall/winter, Lanvin strips its pared-down luxe aesthetic and adds a bit of street inspiration to the house’s identity. The refined construction and use of classic silhouettes are still there, but the range gets more technical in terms of features for this lineup. We see ultra-functional pieces in the outerwear category as shell material is used in the parkas and hooded jackets. Evidence of both relaxed and sharp tailoring are present also, but the focus on knitwear and coats are definitely the main draw. Furthermore, the color palette does get a bit frenzied, but it all works well with the patterns and layering options presented.
