Floyd Mayweather Teases More Details on Potential Conor McGregor Fight
“That’s the only fight that will get me back into the ring.”

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor have been going back and forth ever since the idea of a potential superfight between them was proposed. Since both sides have openly revealed they want this bout to happen, speculation surrounding it continues to build week after week. Mayweather was the latest to add fuel to the fire this past weekend when Showtime caught up with him attending the Carl Frampton-Leo Santa Cruz WBA featherweight title fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. “Most likely the fight between me and Conor McGregor will happen. That’s the only fight that will get me back into the ring. He’s going to do a job on his side and we are going to do a job on my side and hopefully all the fans in the UK come over and support me.” The retired boxer also revealed the weight of the fight would be “between 145lbs and 150lbs.”
While the idea of an elite MMA fighter transforming into boxing has been considered unorthodox and controversial, McGregor has already gone ahead and obtained a boxing license in the state of California. The Irishman also revealed in the past he believes the bout would be “the first billion dollar fight” in history, falling well short of what Dana White offered to both parties just a couple of weeks ago. In comparison the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight in May 2015 grossed $700 million USD as the richest fight in history. Do you guys see this fight happening anytime soon?
