Filling Pieces 2017 Spring/Summer "LET US CREATE" Collection Grows With Footwear

Filling Pieces’s 2017 spring/summer collection titled “LET US CREATE” continues with a second drop featuring footwear. Holding true to the campaign’s name, the Amsterdam-based company created custom sole units for the first time in company history. Five innovations were designed and the kicks created from the bottom up — focusing on the soles and building around that foundation.
The Fundament sole completely replaces generic rubber cup soles while the Shark sole has a tread inspired by the denticles seen on shark skin. Working closely with a development lab in Portugal, the design and research teams at FP created soles made from Thermo Plastic Rubber (TR), a material produced by compressing a large number of tiny rubber pallets together under extreme pressure. Throughout the lookbook you will see color palettes which draw from nature and designs that are meant to be both stylish and functional.
