Chris Harris Is Jubilant Test Driving the BMW M2 for 'Top Gear'
“This car is an angry ball of energy.”
BBC recently released footage from Top Gear: Series 23 which shows Chris “Monkey” Harris taking the BMW M2 around the track. Feeling like the new F80 M3 is too far removed from its E36 predecessor, Monkey is happy to make the comparison between the classic beloved E36 and the new M2. With a turbocharged 3-liter straight-six engine capable of putting out 365 horsepower for a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds, the M2 with its manual gearbox option is the perfect modern day version of the ’90s M3 argues Harris. Watch above as he drifts and burns rubber around the track in the German coupe while comparing it on a “happiness taking a corner” scale with an Audi RS3.
