Shinola Pays Homage to American Railroads With the Canfield Cannonball
Inspired by the pocket watches used by train conductors of the 1900s.

Detroit-based Shinola’s gorgeous Canfield timepiece is getting a makeover as a nod to “the early railroad as a force that shaped American music forever.” The result? The Canfield Cannonball.
Inspired by the pocket watches of 1900s train conductors, the limited-edition design not only features the usual 46-component Argonite 1069 quartz hacking movement, 43mm stainless steel case, and double curve sapphire crystal, but sees its white dial decorated with a classic railroad minute track while the bourbon-backed 20mm leather strap comes in pebbled navy leather. Taking things a step further, each Cannonball comes in a specially packaged box set that not only includes custom packaging, but a 45 RPM leather-housed vinyl record featuring Lukas Nelson’s “Set Me Down On a Cloud” and cover of the traditional folk song “The Wabash Cannonball.”
Limited to just 1,000 pieces, the Canfield Cannonball is available online now for $1,000 USD.
