Essentials: Russell Westbrook
We captured the OKC star player’s travel essentials while he stopped by Hong Kong.
Russell Westbrook needs no introduction. The point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Westbrook is a five-time NBA All-Star and two-time NBA All-Star MVP. One of the most recognizable and well-known basketball players today, Westbrook has been with OKC since the beginning of his NBA career (back when OKC was still the Seattle Supersonics). Following ex-teammate Kevin Durant’s trade to the Golden State Warriors, Westbrook signed a three-year, $85.7 million USD contract extension with the Thunder.
We caught up with Westbrook while he was in Hong Kong with Jordan Brand, hitting up the Asian metropolis on a tour that included stops in Beijing and Taipei. The MVP showed us his travel essentials, which included a range of Jordan Brand items such as his brand new signature sneaker, the Westbrook 0.2. Alongside these kicks are the Air Jordan XXXI, which he helped officially launch on his Asian tour. He also packed a Westbrook T-Shirt and a Jordan Brand T-Shirt. Aside from apparel and footwear, Russell always has a pack of Uno cards with him for when he’s bored traveling, and of course his iPhone and earphones. For accessories, Westbrook wears his very own Westbrook Frames (this particular pair in the Venice style) and custom Jordan bands for his wrist.
