daptr Brings the Headphone Jack to the iPhone 7
The 3.5mm audio port returns to the iPhone.

If you were — understandably — less than thrilled with the lack of a headphone jack on the iPhone 7, fear not as the enterprising brother of a Reddit user has you covered. Simply dubbed daptr and first teased by DungJohnson on Reddit last week, the case not only features the addition of a 3.5mm audio port, but includes a second Lightning port to have “current and yet to come devices covered.” And it’s slim, too. Despite its protective combination of rubber edging, metal bumpers, and a clear plastic shell, the case adds just 3mm of thickness to the Apple’s flagship phones.
According to daptr’s website, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus cases will be available in December for $49 USD in each of the phone’s five finishes — rose gold, gold, silver, matte black and jet black.
